Chloe and Amber from Vampire Support had the opportunity to sit down with Ian Somerhalder at EyeCon to discuss the Ian Somerhalder Foundation and what it stands for.

And we also have Ian’s Q&A session from EyeCon for you at long last:

Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four

With thanks to the Delena Diaries, Vampire Support and Paul Wesley Australia.

Loved the video’s. Ian is a rare human being…he is as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside. So grateful to him and his never ending hard work…especially for animals.

    Straight-up class.

I was just thinking, even though he is so different to the character he plays, it’s this intelligence and awareness that make him able to play Damon so brilliantly. Hope he does run for office someday.

Every time I hear/see this man speak, I get amazed all over again. This very humble, very sincere, amazingly handsome man has tried so hard to do his very best for the causes he believes in. His tireless work to spread the news regarding our environment, especially the oil spill in the Gulf off the shores of Louisiana, and anything regarding or furry (or not so furry) friends and all his efforts to make a difference, well, all I can say is WOW! His appreciation for us fans comes across in pretty much everything he does. All I can really say is, “Thank You Ian, for being you!”

I have been raising and releasing orphaned baby squirrels for years and the amount of trees they have planted on my acreage is amazing. I love listening to Ian speak about his passions and not using his ISF to change laws, but to get us to work together to change them. How blessed we are to have this very smart and sexy man in our vampire show.

BTW Ian is losing big time to Nathan from Castle and only a few hours left in the voting.

I totally support the Ian Somerhalder Foundation. Ian is a man to admire and has such passion for what he believes in. He loves animals and the environment. Thank you Ian, your fans Love You!

How lucky we are to have Ian Somerhalder as Damon on the Vampire Diaries. Our gain is someone else’s loss.
