“Damon and Elena have done…” @julieplec you tease

So glad we got a preview from the producers, however this felt more like a “Julie Plec Previews The New Deal; Guest Starring Caroline Dries”  if you get what I mean. Don’t get me wrong though, I love Julie, but I would have loved to hear more from Caroline Dries too.

My week just significantly improved…Ahhh Therapy Thursdays how I’ve missed you.

  • Chelsey

Love when Julie is talking about The Vampire Diaries, she is so passionate.

  • KatAttack

Yeah she didn’t say anything… but she seemed really nervous, and Julie kept glancing at her like she was kind of expecting her to speak, so maybe she just was a little camera-shy?

Is Kevin even still working on TVD anymore? I never hear anything about connected with it… if not, I’m super sad, because I loved his influence on the show. I know he’s busy with TSC, but… what’s the deal?

Aw…that’s it? You can’t mention Damon and Elena without showing a clip of them!
And I agree with KatAttack – what’s happened to Kevin Williamson? I miss that fella.

It probably has to do with his working on Secret Circle… which is unfortunate, seeing as he was an amazing asset to TVD. Personally, I don’t care about what happens to Secret Circle. I only care that TVD continues to thrive. Please come back, Kevin.

  • KatAttack

Agreed. I don’t watch TSC… and I know some people do and love that show, and I wish it the best and all, but I REALLY wish we could just keep Kevin for TVD. Like you said, I want it to thrive, and I worry what will happen if he leaves for good.

  • Delena <3

Yeah K Williamson wanted to c delena happen and if he isnt influencing who knows what julie P will do wat if she doesnt want delena

  • noirgirl

I agree.  I miss the KW nuances.

Kevin recently tweeted that he was looking at the TVD dailies and he is still overseeing the show. Nothing gets past him.  However, he is also overseeing The Secret Circle, but Andrew Miller is  more or less the hands on writer.  Kevin is also involved in creating a show for Fox and another one for the CW.  He is very busy. I miss him, his interviews and his trips to Atlanta.   Julie is more “hands on” for TVD now.  One thing I have noticed this season is that for each episode being filmed, one, or two and sometimes more of the writers are in Atlanta and on set during the filming.  Michael Narducci might as well get an apartment in Atlanta.

I got the impression that Caroline Dries is a bit camera shy.  Then again, most writers are not in front of the cameras.

Where is everyone getting this from? Did someone say he left?

  • Anonymous

Well no, but GP wrote in one of her posts that he is working on several new projects and on TSC so that he might have less time to work on TVD.

Kevin Williamson is still very much hands on with The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle (the two shows I LOVE!!!), but he’s also working on some new developments too. However, that doesn’t mean nothing goes through him when it comes to TVD and TSC, it very much does. It’s just Julie Plec seems to be more of the voice for TVD right now and Andrew Miller more of the voice for TSC.

I care deeply about what happens to TSC, and I hope it thrives just as much as TVD. It surely is heading in the right direction, and for TVD fans who haven’t seen it yet or are interested, I say get on it; you won’t be disappointed the further you get into the show. It’s a really great new show and it’s no wonder Kevin Williamson got his hands into it. It’s a great new project for him next to TVD. I don’t think it’s impossible for both TVD and TSC to thrive either, so I’m strongly rooting for both shows.

  • KatAttack

It is good to know he’s still involved. But c’mon, Kevin… you have the PERFECT SHOW here, why put your fingers in so many pies?

Kevin is working on several projects, but no need to worry he still oversees and approves everything going on with  the Vampire Diaries.  He will also be involved in writing a couple of the episodes for TVD this season.  Julie is more “hands on” for TVD and comes to Atlanta frequently.  Andrew Miller is “hands on” for The Secret circle.  Part of Kevin’s contract with the CW was to develop 3 new shows and Fox has hired him to develop one for them.  The success of The Vampire Diaries has Kevin in demand to develop more goodies.  He is so busy….  :)
