XXFew characters on The Vampire Diaries have gone through as many changes as Tyler Lockwood over the last three seasons, and Michael Trevino has had some really great moments to shine along the way.

The actor recently spoke with TV Guide about the many faces of Tyler, and what storyline he’d liked to have seen more of. Great big spoilers for The Departed (EP322)!

“I was really nonexistent in Season 1. Tyler was really one-note, a jerk, and an alpha male d—–bag — it was boring and I was frustrated,” he says. “To see how fast Tyler’s arc has progressed from Seasons 2 and 3 — when he first found out about the werewolf thing, then he turns into a werewolf, and in Season 3 he becomes the first successful hybrid, and his relationship on and off with Caroline — I like the way things went and that he grew up.”

Now this is what I am confused about. Did the originals witch’s mom possess Tyler’s body? I was confused on that part.

Good to read Michael wasn’t satisfied with his role. Never expected the actors to make that public.
Here’s hoping for great things to happen for Tyler Lockwood in season 4.
