The CW has released the official synopsis for The Vampire Diaries: My Brother’s Keeper (EP407), airing Thursday, November 29th at 8/7c. Highlight for spoilers:

THE MISS MYSTIC FALLS PAGEANT — Caroline (Candice Accola) does her best to be there for Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) in a tough time. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) tries to convince Stefan to help him uncover Prof. Shane’s (guest star David Alpay) motives, but Stefan is intent on carrying out a different plan with Klaus (Joseph Morgan). At the annual Miss Mystic Falls Pageant, Elena and Caroline give April (guest star Grace Phipps) advice on which dress to wear, while Tyler (Michael Trevino) and Hayley (guest star Phoebe Tonkin) work together on a secret project, and Damon confronts Prof. Shane with his suspicions. Alarmed by the vivid nightmares he’s having, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) turns to Matt (Zach Roerig) for help, but the situation escalates sooner than anyone expected. Olympic Gold Medalist Gabrielle Douglas also makes an appearance.

The episode was written by Caroline Dries and Elisabeth R. Finch and directed by Jeffrey Hunt.

By the time Stefan finds the “cure”, which probably is not a cure at all,  Elena will be a happy well adjusted vampire that is enjoying her immortal life to the fullest.  Stefan will be left wondering how it all went wrong.

I never said that Stefan and Elena have never hurt Damon, I said I can’t argue with the fact that they have. And even though I wish no one would get hurt I’ve resigned myself to the fact that no matter who ends up with who someone is going to be crushed.

  • Annie

Hey I know that, but the video is a nice reminder of how far he’s come, isn’t it.

Elena didn’t know what bloodsharing was and the only time she’s kissed Damon is when she and Stefan had broken up.  I’m not saying that there’s nothing between Damon and Elena because there is and it’s been obvious since S1.  But Elena has stayed true to Stefan, stood by him, helped him, supported him and to say now that she doesn’t deserve him just seems ridiculous. Of course she does.

If they do break up, it’s not just because of issues related to Damon. They have problems that are inherent in their relationship and, until they address them, they can never be “epic”.  Who knows what the writers are going to do with them in the long run, but if they want to make them realistic at all, they need to have them start facing their problems instead of sweeping everything under the rug.

LMAO you are too much! I hope this cure is a load of crock. I can’t stand the idea. And I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Stefan better watch his back because all this “cure” chasing is going to chase his girl into the arms of another.

Well, I think, “technically” with Katherine, the brother’s got into each other’s girlfriend’s pants. :D Confusing!

I agree that Stefan is sometimes deliberately hurtful to Damon and he does tend to point out all of his faults and flaws, both to him and to others.  To me it seems more about his own insecurity and jealousy and not a lack of love for his brother. Stefan isn’t blind about what’s between Damon and Elena – not since really early on.  I’m not a huge Stefan fan, but I do like those rare brotherly moments they sometimes have.  I really hope the writers spend some extra time working on that relationship this season.

I like the Buffy reference and it would be great if it works out that Shane turns out to be a mentor to Jer, he needs it with Ric gone… but with this show, you can never tell. Maybe the reason Professor Creepy is at the Lake house has to do with what Damon uncovered or because of Bonnie.

Of course Stefan is going to take Klaus seriously! Klaus is the devil. But Stefan you naughty boy, you know better than to make deals with the devil and not have a backup plan, I’m depending on him double crossing Klaus (it could happen).

And if Stefan and Elena break up I hope it has nothing to do with Damon, their relationship is strained enough as it is we don’t need a girl and her “unicorn lady parts” driving an even bigger wedge between them.

As for Tyler and Caroline I have a sneaking suspicion that they are the couple who’ll breakup in 4×06 :-( I’m not too happy about that, but I’m not too sad either especially if he cheated. But it looks like we’ll have another triangle… Let the shipping wars begin.

I did not forget a thing.  Damon did not go on a rampage of revenge against Klaus and threaten Elena’s life with a plan to drive her off Wickery Bridge and turning her into a vampire to end the chance of more hybrids … that was all Stefan.  Stefan made the choice of getting revenge instead of going back to Elena, which he could have done.  Once again Elena was not Stefan’s first choice.   I don’t care if Stefan wants to work with Klaus, but I think he should tell Damon and Elena what is going on.  Keeping secrets is never a good thing and it will come back and bite him in the ass. As a matter of fact, I’m pretty sure Jeremy will remember Stefan compelling him, which is just another thing Stefan did secretly behind Elena’s back and she certainly will not be happy that Stefan took Jeremy to Klaus to read and draw a map that is on the body of the lethal vampire slayer, Connor.   Stefan has a history of not being forthcoming so his actions in keeping the “cure” a secret and all of his actions that will go along with his secret is actually right in sync with his personality.

Damon is my favorite character on the show.  I will always be his cheerleader and I would like for him to find a bit of happiness.  I would like to see how the Damon and Elena part of the triangle would be presented.  So far the writers have denied the fans of that one.  Unless the fans have an opportunity to  see it, there is no way to judge whether it would be good or not.  In saying that, please do not confuse me of being strictly a Delena fan because that would be incorrect.  I would love to see Damon with Rebekah, I liked him with Rose and I see no reason not to bring Katherine back and let her mix it up a bit with Damon.

As for the “cure” to change Elena back into a human, No …just NO!   Please! I beg the writers not to do that!  In that regard Stefan needs to live an eternity with the choice he made.

Stefan is not my favorite character, nor do I see him being one in the near future.  As a matter of fact he is not even a close second because that goes to Klaus and his Original siblings. I find Stefan to be a mixed bag of weird, especially when he is pretending to be someone or something he is not and all the while being judgmental towards others, especially Damon.  Stefan let Elena die by not choosing her life first. There is nothing epic about that. As for the whole “free will” argument, that falls on my deaf ears because that will never fly with me when it comes to a life or death situation and saving the person you are suppose to love.  I will leave it up to the Stefan fans to toot his horn over that one, or try to sweep it under the rug, whichever the case may be.

I think Damon and Klaus make a much better team when it comes to fighting the enemy, but I guess if Klaus wants to be secretive ….. Stefan is his guy.

     Love Triangle …. just saying.

This is what happens when the writers keep a couple together too long and yet knowing the whole time the core of the story is about a love triangle.  It is time for the writers to start spreading the love around and mixing it up a bit.

  • Georgia_Peach

I am still waiting for Stefan to do something “right”  that I will like … and well, Damon never does anything wrong that I don’t like.  So there is that…

  • ihatepeople

Remember in season 1 at first Stefan told Elena that it was debatable who was with Katherine first. Later he admitted it was Damon and that he knew how Damon felt about Katherine but he got invovled with her anyway.

  • Carolina

Elena didn’t know about blood sharing, but Damon did.  The only thing that has been obvious is that ever since Katherine told Damon no Damon has gone full force after Elena.  Remember when Damon and Katherine were making out and Damon said something like.  I’ll forget the past, just tell me you want me or something to that affect.  After she said no, Damon went and tried to force himself on Elena and Jeremy ended up with a broken neck.  As for Stefan I’m sure it doesn’t help there epic love when he has to look over his shoulder constantly at his brother trying to steal his girlfriend.

  • Carolina

So it wasn’t Damon who compelled Caroline to drink her blood and have sex, or killed  innocent campers, killed innocent girls, coach Tanner,  attacked Elena a few times.  When he wanted the book at papa Salvatore’s grave, after Katherine said no, r and alot more.  So I’m guessing there were always reasons  why Damon was right and everyone else was wrong to these.  Stefan screwed up majorly saving Matt before Elena and he knows it and so does everyone else.   Stefan not wanting to tell Elena and work with Klaus.  He wants to give her back her life, why tell her if it’s all BS. He’d be getting her hopes up for nothing.  I hope there is a cure and Stefan saves Elena.    As for Damon working with Klaus you are alright with.  In a perfect world Klaus would set he eyes on Elena.  You’d still like Klaus, don’t think so.

  • Carolina

After what Elena said to Stefan when she was on the porch she would have chosen death and still might kill herself.  Stefan is trying to save Elena’s life by giving her the one thing she wants more then anything else, her human life back.  Stefan now knows there are times to respect Elena’s wishes and times when he should go with what he wants.  Stefan doesn’t want to force himself or his belief’s on Elena and shows her respect and gives her a voice in her own life.  Any guy who forces himself on a woman is not a man.

  • Carolina

The last time Stefan did what Elena wanted she ended up a vampire and everyone came down on him.  He wants to give Elena her human life back or maybe he doesn’t want to get her hopes up in case Klaus isn’t telling the truth.  I think Stefan should tell the Mystic Falls gang.  But maybe he thinks if he does Klaus will follow threw on his threats.

  • Carolina

Stefan went along with getting Rebekah there because Klaus said it would be worth his while and he’d want to know what Rebekah knew.  Stefan above everyone else knows just how evil and ruthless Klaus is.  Case in point, when Stefan gave his life and love up to save Damon’s life when Klaus gave Stefan the blood cure that saved Damon’s life.  I’m hoping that Stefan will surprise all the people who don’t believe in him and be one step ahead of Klaus.  And I’m hoping that Stefan will be the one who double crosses Klaus and then he’ll be the hero who saved Elena when everyone thought he was wrong.

…. and here you have to dig back into very early season one ……  We are in Season 4!  Can I stress that enough!

I don’t care about the campers in the pilot episode, I don’t care about Coach Tanner, who was a complete jackass, because when he died, Alaric was brought into the show to take his place as the history teacher.  I don’t care about Damon using Elena as leverage to get Emily Bennett’s grimoire from Stefan at Papa Salvatore’s grave.  Keep in mind Stefan and Elena were suppose to be working with Damon to help open the tomb when this happened, but instead Stefan and Elena betrayed Damon.  As far as using Caroline to get into the Lockwood Mansion in order to retrieve the pendant that he hid there in 1864, I was totally on his side.  He needed the pendant to get Katherine out of the tomb during the next celestial event.  Caroline came onto  Damon first and he used it to his advantage. As a vampire, he is very practical that way.   The one act that Damon did that I was not happy about was when the writers had him break Jeremy’s neck after Katherine had totally destroyed Damon’s heart and put him on an emotional roller coaster.

  • Carolina

Not just Season 1.  As usual Damon right Stefan wrong. You do make me laugh.

  • Carolina

Now now, you know Stefan can’t do anything right in your eyes.  Although when he and Elena break up you’ll probably be saying he’s ok then.  Obvious and still making me laugh.

  • Georgia_Peach

I am not sure Elena and Stefan will actually break up, but they will probably go through a rough time.  I’m pretty sure Elena will “act” on her feelings for Damon and they will get all hot and steamy, but then again that is expected when there is a love triangle.  Elena is suppose to love them both and be in a love relationship with both.

  • Georgia_Peach

Glad I can amuse you and make you laugh because I was getting a little worried.  My next comment was going to be “Why So Serious?”.   Everyone has a favorite character and mine happens to be Damon.

  • Momaferesay

I don’t think people don’t think Stefan is capable of being the hero in this – he’s smart and he’s much more rational than Damon sometimes. But he needs to fill in the rest of the group. They have a right to know what’s going on.
