Damn those crazy, angry Delena fans, they ruin everything! Thanks for sharing Sarah :-)

N.B: Not all Delena fans, just the crazy ones :-p

Actually, I thought Damon was going to cry when Stefan told him about the cure. He looked torn, broken, shocked yes but broken all the same. Besides Damon has a secret though “I’m not human, and I miss it… I miss it more than ANYTHING in the world!” remember. So I don’t think he really ever wanted Elena to be a vampire, he would just rather her be undead than, you know, dead dead.

  • JavaJesse

Yes! I’m for Delena because I think that relationship has grown so  beautifully over time and they’ve overcome so much but I don’t hate Stefan or “Stelena” for that matter. But I do agree that Stefan has really tried to make Elena think she can’t do the vampire thing and he undermines her because he needs her to need him. He needs her to be human.

He never supports her and constantly tells her how she’ll break down or be over come by the bloodlust or that she’s too weak to handle the guilt if she hurts someone. It’s like he’s trying to make her afraid. Also, he keeps saying that she’s a different person now, but he’s the one who said that when you become a vampire it just heightens who you REALLY ARE!!!  So, she’s not a different person, she’s just being herself for the first time since her parents died.

Damon doesn’t want her to be a vampire, either, but he encourages her anyway.  He builds her up, teaches her the skills she needs to survive and tries to give her confidence. He thinks this is her life now, whether she likes it or not, and he wants her to be able to succeed and to live without the pain that he and Stefan had to suffer for so long. He knows the real Elena and he knows she can do it. He even tells her that the guilt and shame she’s having now are perfectly normal and nothing to blow out of proportion.  Stefan makes her feel like a failure while Damon tries to make her feel successful.  He’s a lot more supportive and non-judgmental.

I think a lot of the problem is that Elena is realizing that she’s not really the person she was when she was with Stefan. That was a sad, depressed girl who felt guilty about her parent’s deaths and that’s what Stefan needed. He needed someone who needed him. Her real self is a strong, independent woman who can handle what comes at her and be strong for her loved ones. That’s what Damon lets her be.

  • JavaJesse

You’re so right about that!!! I just hate the way Stefan is always talking so bad about Damon behind his back and Damon never does that to Stefan and he never tries to defend himself, either. He always sticks up for Stefan, tries to make Elena understand why Stefan is a Ripper without making him seem like a bad person, takes the blame for things. OMG, he even turned Abbie into a vampire for Stefan and never told anyone!  Damon really is a good brother. :`(

I hope that the “cure” thing is a complete bust and that there is no way to become human again after you turn.  I think that having a “cure” is a total cop out.

However, with that said, IF there happens to be an actual “cure”, I hope it takes them a long time to find it and that by the time they do, Elena is a fully adjusted, badass vampire and decides NOT to take it!

But mostly I hope that she and Damon talk Stefan into taking it so he can become human again and stop living his life hating himself.  Stefan really, truly, sucks at being a vampire and has been torturing himself for 145 plus years.  If anyone needs a “cure” it’s Stefan.

So I guess my new “end game hope” is that:   Damon finds happiness and love with [Elena] or someone great.   Elena grows into a strong, capable, badass vampire woman who still holds on to her humanity.    And Stefan is finally FREE from the hell of his vampire life and finds peace again as a human.

  • Camel

That’s really unfair to Stefan. It’s clear that he really loves Elena for who she is. He just wants her to be human and live the life that she deserves which is what she wants to. He hates seeing her as something she doesn’t want to be.

  • Nelly

If Elena believes that Damon could do this that isn’t Stefan’s fault. Stefan just found out the best explanation in that situation.

  • Nelly

I think Stefan can’t talk with Damon so easy about his love with Elena. He know that Damon loves her too. Just uncomfortable, isn’t it?

  • shila1307

What is Carina’s chat? Is it a show or a blog? I’m from Germany. Please enlighten me :)

  • eve

I hope the cure is real.  As for Stefan hating himself.  Yeah, maybe he hated being a vampire….wandering around for over a hundred years…not family….no love…..doesn’t sound so appealing to alot of people.  That’s probably why he drowned himself in HB and became the Ripper….nothing to live for.   Until, he returned to Mystic Falls…then he fell in love with Elena and realized that he did love life again.  I too would love it if Stefan became human again….course it would be perfect if Elena became human again also.

  • From Beginning To End

     Nicely said!

  • From Beginning To End

I think the difficulty is that the cure might not even exist, or have some dangerous strings attached. He doesn’t know for sure that she’ll ever be able to be human again and instead of hating seeing her as vampire he should be helping her not hate herself. Elena knows Stefan hates it, that’s why she couldn’t tell him she couldn’t drink animal blood or about losing it a bit at the college. How can she accept it if one of the people who’s opinion she cares about the most can’t?

  • Barberbabe8535

    In reply to Eve:

You do realize that if Elena becomes human again, then she becomes the doppleganger again, and therefore becomes a target again for the rest of her life.  I’d rather see her accept her vampire life. Embrace it.  Get really good at it and NEVER be anyones victem ever again.

Besides, if she becomes human and Stefan becomes human then who is going to protect her for the rest of her life?  Two brother vampires who love her deeply have been trying to keep her alive and safe and human for some time now and failed.  How will one human boyfriend/husband be able to do it alone?

Or is Damon supposed to stick by her side for the rest of her human life and protect her while she lives happily ever after with his brother?  Just wondering.

  • Kego

Damon is equally to blame for all this Ripper victims. In episode “1920″ he pretended that they could be brothers again,he knew: Stefan wanted nothing more than to be reunited with his brother and so he seduced Stefan to drink human blood from this woman. It went terribly wrong, but Damon did nothing in the following years to stop Ripper Stefan,to help his brother.
And that´s not all: later in Mystic Falls Damon wanted to blackmail Stefan to drink from Vicky! Although he knew the consequences!!

  • Iheartdamon

I agree! Damon even threw in that “it’s complicated” when Elena was mad at Stephan. He didn’t have to do that.

  • eve

Well, if because Elena went from human to vampire back to human maybe the whole doppelganger blood issue  becomes useless for Klaus to use.   She wouldn’t need anyone to protect her because no one would want her for anything and she could have a normal life.  Damon doesn’t have to protect her if he doesn’t want to…..it’s his decision to always be available.

  • Barberbabe8535

    In reply to Eve:

Why do you think Klaus wants Elena to become human again?  Because he’s a nice guy and cares deeply about her happiness?   Noooooo…. it’s because if she is human again then he can use her blood again and create his hybrid army.  If Elena becomes human she will once again become a target .  Klaus will use her and future witches will use her and god knows who else will use her.  Doppleganger blood is very rare.  The last time there was a doppleganger was 500 years ago, Katerine.  Before that it was Tatia, 1000 years ago.  Their blood is used in a varitity of ways.  If she is human she will have to deal with this for the rest of her life.  She will need constant protection.  How will human Stefan be able to keep her safe?  In the long run, she can live a happier life as a vampire.  She just has to figure out what kind of vamp she’s going to be.  A normal, quiet, happy human life is simply NOT in the cards for Elena.  [With or without Stefan]

  • eve

Of course I know Klaus’ intentions for Elena are for his own selfish reasons.  Actually, when Elena was human I hated that Klaus used her for that and I left  comments…..it was horrible and she wouldn’t be able to live a normal life, etc….People commented that it was no big deal that she would have to  give him blood once in a while etc… I like Klaus and want him to stay on the show that’s why I hope that if…….and that’s a big if Elena does become human again that because she went vampire it somehow ruins the doppelganger blood issue.  I have to be honest….so far I don’t like that Elena has become a vampire.  I love the vampire part of the show but I also love the human part.  LOL

  • From Beginning To End

Just watched some of the early episodes- Gosh Damon did make a great villain didn’t he?

  • From Beginning To End

I don’t even know if Damon would save Matt and April, I think he would if given the opportunity, but he might not if he decided something else was more important. He doesn’t even know April and tried to kill Matt just recently lol. Regardless, I don’t think it’s Stefan’s place to say anything about his brother he doesn’t know for certain to be true. Especially not behind his back and to Elena.

  • Kego

He was! I liked season 1-Damon so much when he was a reckless, sarcastic, charming villain. But the air in Mystic Falls is kind of toxic for villains…they all turn into lovesick puppys or die almost immediately. There should be a warning sign placed for them at the entrance of MF :D

  • Jess-tvd

Stefan said in the last episode that he would give Elena the cure and take it himself (ending his infinite life) just to live and die old with Elena. Whether his attempts to save her from the life she HATES so much seems like his love isn’t pure to her vampire side, he is just trying to make her happy. Also like Elena said, as a vampire she isn’t herself or she is losing herself, and if she isn’t herself what is Stefan left to love? Her physical self? And from season 1, we know that isn’t why he loves her. Its how much she ISN’T Katherine that he loves, but as a vampire..whats keeping her from becoming just like her?

  • dman

If a tree falls in a forest, does it make a sound? Yes it does. But if no one is there to hear it, the sound it makes is inconsequential. Perhaps Damon needs to make a sound. Maybe he needs to let people see who he really is, instead of letting them continually perceive him as the bad guy. He was the black sheep of the family in 1864, and though time has passed, he still clings to that persona. Speaking up, defending himself, showing people his softer side, being a little more sensitive to people’s concerns, these are some of the things that can go a long way in changing people’s perception of him. But unless he decides to do this, he’ll remain what he is to everyone: the bad guy.

  • Blacktiepanda

Finally, someone with brains. It’s so true too. Keep telling yourself he’s doing the noble thing for her when every woman whose ever been in any type of relationship would tell you, “Wow, he’s doing this for HIM”. Stefan knows shed be. Good vampire but constantly makes her second guess herself not only because he’s a ripper but because he doesn’t want her to grow into her new vampire life acting like Damon. His insecurities are starting to become an issue in their relationship. We all know how those turn out.

  • 8Dana8

he was not a black sheep of the family. His father ostracized him, for some unknown reason.

  • 8Dana8

I personally believe Stefan killed more people than Damon. Just because they are nameless it does not make them less worth of mentioning. Get off your holier than thou stool, man. YOU are hilarious.

  • 8Dana8

Woah, where have you been for the last 3 season? Under a rock?

  • Yakuiie

Hi, I loved this episode very much. First of all, I have to say I really like Elena as a vampire. When she shouted “SO AM I!” to Damon, we realise what a strong person she is. She’s not the damsel in distress anymore. She’s the girl, the heroine who will do anything to save her brother. Then, she goes to kill Connor. I do admit that I was rather disappointed that he died, considering he induced much fear in me in the last five episodes.. But she had adrenaline rush, vampires have too like human, so it was understandable. She snapped, she killed. I honestly do not think she had planned on killing him… maybe she did. I’m not sure, since Damon did tell her to kill. But the remorse was there.

As for Stefan and Damon, I reckon a lot of people are now mad at Stefan for vervaining him? It was probably not personal, think about it guys, Stefan wasn’t doing it because he didn’t like Damon, he was doing it to protect Klaus secret, for Elena. But I do admit Stefan is becoming manipulative these recent episodes, starting from when he betrayed Rebekah. I don’t really like it, but when his face when he told Damon the truth made me really sad. I could see his desperation.. But both Stefan and Damon are good brothers. Not just Damon. I love Damon, how he loves his younger brother and would do anything for him. I love Stefan how no matter what, he actually trusts his older brother and would never actually want to hurt Damon either.
The other sad truth is I’m guessing that Stefan is unable to love vampires. It makes his love not unconditional, but it doesn’t mean it’s not true love… It’s just that he loves Elena when she is the exact opposite of what he is, pure, innocent and HUMAN. I wish that he was doing it for her, I know he is, but I think part of him is doing it because he is afraid that he won’t love her anymore. I still admit it’s VERY touching that no matter what, he WANTS to love her. Question is, can he?

  • dman

Okay, okay, he was a purple sheep. lol

  • lolalovestvd

I definitely think that Damon would save Matt and April…if it didn’t endanger Jeremy, Elena or Stefan. He has his own priorities, after all. :D  (Although, maybe Matt. I don’t think – after saving him in the past -that he would let him die, knowing the impact it would have on Elena.)

  • lolalovestvd

No, but Stefan could come clean and stop acting like a spoiled, entitled child. There’s no reason why he needs to let Damon take all the blame and all the heat for every bad thing that happens.

  • ihatepeople

You’re absolutely right. He has a bad habit of pointing out Damon’s flaws to others as well. That’s why I thought it was great that Damon laid it out about the reason for helping find the cure. He wanted him to know he would support him but this wasn’t his idea so no being the fall guy.

  • ihatepeople

The reason appears to be because he had a mind of his own and didn’t blindly follow what his father expected of him like Stefan did. If you have 2 leaders in the family they’ll butt heads. A leader always looks favorable towards a follower than someone who isn’t afraid to challenge them.

  • dman

I agree with you, the villains have had a downward spiral the longer they stayed in Mystic Falls. Klaus is still a threat, but he is not the same vampire that rolled into town. Good thing Connor died when he did, or he probably would’ve ended up going on picnics with Bonnie or planning Mystic Falls social events. lol  Must be something in the water.

  • From Beginning To End

It was in part because he left the Confederacy.

  • Aria

Can’t we all just get along? The show is supposed to bring everyone together as viewers, and I love it just as much as the next guy. But it’s like freaking World War 3 over fictional characters. Just sayin’.
